Shengzong Zhou

Researcher of Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure, Chinese Academy of Sciences, executive chairman of Federation of Chinese Professional Associations in Europe (FCPAE) and chairman of Computer Society of Chinese Scholars in Germany.

Research field:computer software and theory, software engineering and computer application technology research.

In 1982, he graduated from Peking University, and then got his master degree from Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1985. In 1994, he got his doctor degree from University of Salford, Germany. Since 2001, he has been the executive chairman of Federation of Chinese Professional Associations in Europe (FCPAE) and chairman of Computer Society of Chinese Scholars in Germany. Since 2003, he has been serving as an oversea expert of China Association for Science and Technology, and participated in the seventh and eighth national congress of China Association for Science and Technology as an overseas guest. He is mainly engaged in computer software and theory, software engineering and computer application technology research, especially related to software development methods, information systems, virtual manufacturing, virtual reality, 3d printing and other fields of advanced technology research.

Jianwei Zhang

Academician of the Hamburg Academy of Sciences, Professor of the University of Hamburg, Germany, Director of the Multimodal Technology Institute, Expert of “The Recruitment Program of Global Experts”.

Research field:Intelligence, machine learning, self-planning, multi-sensor information fusion, intelligent robots, multimodal human-computer interaction.

In 1986, he graduated from the Department of Computer Science of Tsinghua University with a bachelor's degree. He obtained a master's degree (Artificial Intelligence) from Tsinghua University in 1989 and a Ph.D. (Robot) degree from the Department of Computer Science of Karlsruhe University in Germany in 1994. He has published more than 300 monographs, won many best paper awards in international conferences, and has more than forty invention patents. He is the chairman of several conferences of international intelligent robots and intelligent control, the consultant of several international business companies, the president of the German Tsinghua Alumni Association, and the president of the German-Chinese Entrepreneurs Association.

Yu-Dong Zhang

Professor of University of Leicester, UK.

Research field:Deep learning and medical image analysis

Prof. Yu-Dong Zhang the PhD degree in Signal and Information Processing from Southeast University in 2010. He worked as a postdoc from 2010 to 2012 with Columbia University, USA; and as an assistant research scientist from 2012 to 2013 with Research Foundation of Mental Hygiene (RFMH), USA. He served as a Full Professor from 2013 to 2017 with Nanjing Normal University, where he was the director and founder of Advanced Medical Image Processing Group in NJNU. Now he serves as Professor with Department of Informatics, University of Leicester, UK. He is the editor of Neural Networks, Scientific Reports, IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology, etc. He served as the (leading) guest editor of Neural Networks, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, etc. Prof. Zhang is the Fellow of IET (FIET), and the senior members of IEEE and ACM. He was included in “Most Cited Chinese researchers (Computer Science)” by Elsevier from 2014 to 2018. He was the 2019 recipient of “Highly Cited. Researcher” by Web of Science. He won “Emerald Citation of Excellence 2017” and “MDPI Top 10 Most Cited Papers 2015”. He was included in "Top Scientist" in Guide2Research. He is the author of over 200 peer-reviewed articles, including 16 “ESI Highly Cited Papers”, and 2 “ESI Hot Papers”. His citation reached 11194 in Google Scholar, and 6811 in Web of Science. He has conducted many successful industrial projects and academic grants from NSFC, NIH, Royal Society, EPSRC, MRC, and British Council.

Mahesh Rao

Professor & HOD, Department of Electronics & Communication, MIT, Mysore.

Research field:3-D actuator design and control for Robots.

In 1988, Mahesh Rao completed his PhD from University of Wyoming, Laramie in 1988 in Electrical Engineering specializing in 3-D actuator design and control for Robots. He worked as Assistant Professor for five years at University of Reno, Nevada (1987 to 1992). While there he was successful in obtaining research grants to the tune of US$500,000 and has published several IEEE Journal articles. Graduated several Masters students. Then joined Intel as Technical Support Manager in 1992 (Sacramento USA) and went on to become Validation Manager for Intel Chipsets and the Program Manager for Integrated Microprocessors. He was recognized with Intel Achievement Award for his contributions to the Chipset development. In 2000 he returned to India as General Manager for Intel Bangalore. He then started his own Company, Aspire Communication in 2002 at Mysore. He was recognized by EDN Asia as the Innovator of the Year for his contributions to various products & ideas in 2003. In 2011, he returned to Academics and is now Professor and HOD at ECE Department, MIT Mysore. He has published extensively and has successfully obtained research grants from the Government of Karnataka.

He has successfully guided and graduated more than 20 master’s students & half a dozen PhD students. He has published more than 50 research papers, half a dozen IEEE Journal Articles, several Application Notes, White papers, etc.

Gian Luca Brunetti

Associate professor of Architectural Technology at the Polytechnic of Milan.

Research field:building design, building optimization, meta modelling, design methods, bioclimatic design.

Gian Luca Brunetti graduated in Architecture at the Polytechnic University of Milan in 1991. From 1992 to 1995 he worked as an architectural designer in the architectural workshop of Marcello Pietrantoni in Milan. In 1995 he obtained a scholarship for a PhD research at the Polytechnic University of Milan. He defended his PhD thesis on thermal transition spaces in Architecture in April 1999 (supervisor: Prof. Bianca Bottero). In 1998 he became a graduate technician at the ABITA Laboratory, Polytechnic University of Milan, Department of Building, Environment and Sciences (BEST, now ABC). In 2006 he became a researcher of Architectural Technology at the Polytechnic University of Milan, Faculty of Architecture and Society. Since 2016 he is associate professor of Architectural Technology at the Polytechnic of Milan.

Ganeshsree AP Selvachandran

Associate professor of Department of Actuarial Science and Applied Statistics, and serve as the Deputy Dean and Head of Research of the Faculty of Business and Management, UCSI University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Research field:fuzzy mathematics which includes fuzzy sets and systems, fuzzy algebra, fuzzy computing, fuzzy logic and fuzzy decision making, artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Ganeshsree AP Selvachandran received her PhD degrees in Mathematics (specializing in Pure Mathematics) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 2009, 2010 and 2013, respectively. She currently serves as the editor of five international journals and is an active reviewer for 23 international journals listed in the Web of Science. She has also served as a member of the scientific review committee for several local and international conferences. More than 60 research articles and conference papers have been published in these areas. In 2019, she was ranked no. 6 in the World Top Authors in the areas of fuzzy sets, fuzzy systems and complex fuzzy by Scopus, Elsevier and she is currently ranked no. 1 in the field of fuzzy algebra in Publons (Web of Science). In recognition of her expertise in fuzzy mathematics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, she was appointed as a member of the Special Interest Group on Oceanography of the Malaysian Academy of Sciences (Akademi Sains Malaysia (ASM)) in April 2020. To date, she has successfully obtained five research grants totaling more than MYR300,000 – four Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS) grants from the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia and one Pioneer Scientist Incentive Fund (PSIF) from UCSI University, Malaysia.

Önder GÜRCAN

Researcher engineer at French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA).

Research field:Artificial Intelligence, Multi-Agent Systems, Collective Intelligence, Self-Organizing Systems, Distributed Problem Solving.

In Ege University, Dr. Önder GÜRCAN got his bachelor and master degrees, and in 2013, he got his PhD in artificial intelligence & computer engineering from Paul Sabatier University and Ege University respectively. Dr. Önder GÜRCAN is currently working as a researcher engineer at the Trustworthy, Intelligent, Self-organizing Information Systems Laboratory (LICIA) of the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) since January 2017, where he carried out research in distributed problem solving in general. Before this, he has served as a scientific expert for ISO/TC 307 – Blockchain and distributed ledger technologies, International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Now he is interested in working on open interdisciplinary problems in domains like multi-agent systems, collective intelligence, self-organization and self-adaptation, biological systems, distributed clock synchronization and behavioral economics. More than 50 papers have been published in international journals and conferences, and he has completed more than 10 research projects.

Mohamed Arezki Mellal

Associate Professor, Fulbright Scholar in University of Maryland, College Park, MD, USA.

Honorary Chief Advisor of the scholarly World Association for Scientific Research and Technical Innovation (WASRTI),Member of the Scientific Network for Innovation and Research Excellence (Machine Intelligence Research Labs.),Member of the World Academy of Science, Engineering and Technology (WASET).

Research field:Mechatronics, System dependability, Optimization using bio-inspired algorithms.

Mohamed Arezki Mellal got his Ph.D. in Mechatronics, Faculty of Technology, M’Hamed Bougara University, Boumerdes, Algeria. In 2016 and 2017, he went to Korea Aerospace University, South Korea and University of Essex, UK as a visiting Fellow. By now, he has published more than 40 papers in international journals.

Md Abdus Samad KAMAL

Associate Professor, Division of Mechanical Science and Technology, Graduate School of Science and Technology, Gunma University, Japan.

Research field:Control systems, Intelligent transportation systems (ITS), Cooperative autonomous driving, Mechtronics, Sensors and artificial perception, Artificial intelligence, Machine Learning.

Md Abdus Samad KAMAL got his master and doctor degrees from Dept. of Electrical and Electronics Systems Engineering, Kyushu University, Japan in 2003 and 2006 respectively. And then he served as a researcher in Department of Electrical and Electronics Systems Engineering, Kyushu University, Japan. From 2019, he starts working in Division of Mechanical Science and Technology, Graduate School of Science and Technology, Gunma University, Japan as an associate professor. Now, he is a member of Chartered Engineer (C.Eng.), IET, UK, the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). In addition, he undertakes editors, gust editors for international journals, and has delivered keynote speeches for more than 15 conferences.

Du Xian

Assistant professor in University of Massachusetts-Amherst, America.

Manufacturing system and technology, process control, intelligent electronic diagnosis system, etc.

Dr. Du Xian graduated from Singapore-MIT Alliance in 2007. From 2011 to 2018, he worked in Laboratory for Manufacturing and Productivity, MIT. And then he went to University of Massachusetts-Amherst, America. By now, he has published 17 papers in international journals.

Dušan Isailović

Research field:Civil engineering, digital representation of as-damaged reinforced concrete bridges.

Dr. Dušan Isailović got his bachelor and master degrees from University of Belgrade, Serbia. Now he is a doctor of University of Belgrade, and has published 6 papers in international journals.
